About Us

The Alpha Residential Care Agency was established by Karen Lowe with a vision to create home care solutions for adults in need of a helping hand.  Karen can remember how her grandmother, Evelyn Hunter, took care of her growing up when she didn’t have anywhere else to go. Ms. Hunter lived to be 94 years old and in her later years she needed help with cooking, cleaning, and running errands. She would tell Karen how she felt forgotten about because her family was now too busy to come by or even call. This inspired Karen to think of the senior community. No matter the situation, our team of caregivers are here to provide home care services, to value and respect, meet the need, and positively impact the lives of each client.

After seeing the homeless population growing, Karen felt like it was also her calling to do something to meet the housing need.  She has created an affordable shared housing community that provides a welcoming home environment for individuals in need of a helping hand and a fresh start.  She is proud to serve the community.
